Open IRIS is a core management software, a collection of best practices for resource discovery, control and optimization. It is designed to facilitate resource visibility and sharing, and is modifiable by participating institutions.

For the end user, Open IRIS is a flexible reservation book with a possibility to get notifications on e.g. reservation cancellations.
